Caroline_M_BrownAbout Caroline M Brown

I was born in 1948 in the UK, but moved to Kenya with my family while still a baby.

The vast skies of Africa, the teeming wildlife, and the vivid mix of peoples, nationalities, languages and beliefs that surrounded me as a young child left me deeply questioning the differences and divisions between cultures and also what unites us as human beings.

Later in my life as a young mother, I spent time in France and Germany where I forged connections and friendships across languages through the day-to-day demands of raising a family. As my children grew more independent, I returned to study, gaining a degree in English Literature and trained as a teacher.

My life so far has had many joys.  But I have also experienced heartbreak, bereavement, family trauma and severe illness.  I feel that these experiences have given me deep insights into myself and into what it means to be a human being striving towards spiritual truth. When I retired from teaching work, I chose to consolidate my international experience, spiritual seeking and development, lifelong learning and exploration of human endeavor in its many forms through ordination as an Interfaith Minister.

I have just finished writing my first book The Rose Chamber
